Easter 2011

We had a great Easter!  It was so fun to have Kason be a part of our Easter traditions this year.  On Saturday night we died Easter eggs with Kason.  Ok, maybe he was asleep, but he was still there!  I'm sure this will be much more exciting for him in the following years!  Ha!

On Sunday morning,  Kason had an Easter basket from the Easter bunny and I'm sure he was so excited..ha!

We started off the morning by going to church.  I try to remember the sacrifice Jesus made for me on a daily basis, but Easter is always a humbling reminder.  This Easter was no different as I was overcome with emotion when thinking about the sacrifice that was made.  Church was great and Kason of course slept right through it!

After church we headed to Duane's parents' house to celebrate Easter with his family.  Last year there was only one grandkid and this year there were 3!  So crazy the difference a year can make!

After that we headed to my parents' house for more food and family!  Some of my mom's family hadn't met Kason yet, so it was fun to introduce them!

  1. I was wondering if you guys would still dye the eggs! Looks like fun - maybe I'll just have to dye some next year! :) Very cute pictures! I'm glad I got to meet Kason and see you guys again! He is adorable and I think you could call him spoiled. :) hehe

  2. Yep, Kason finally calmed down enough to dye the eggs! He was so cranky that night..I was sad everyone had to leave! I'm glad you got to meet Kason and snuggle him! I'm sure we'll see you again soon! :)
